Initiation Program
The Nickel Centre Minor Hockey Association’s Initiation is for players between the age of 4 and and is intended to serve as a development program for their successful continuing experience playing the game of hockey.
The Initiation Program is specifically geared to the initial and basic skills required to play hockey. These include skating, handling a hockey stick, puck handling, passing etc.
Initiation players are generally on the ice 2 times a week (50 minutes per session). Players do not play any league games and share ice times with other level. Several Initiation trained coaches provide the training.
Parents interested in taking the Initiation Training Program are encouraged to speak to an Executive member or contact the Association at www.ncmha.net or by phone at the number listed on our home page.
